Purple Star Program
Burleson ISD recognizes the unique challenges faced by military-connected children and is dedicated to supporting their academic and social-emotional well-being through the Purple Star School Program. We strive to equip all our students with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in college, the workforce, and life.
Our commitment to educational excellence includes fostering modern learning environments, offering diverse opportunities for career exploration, and employing exceptional educators. Burleson ISD serves over 12,000 students, including more than 1,400 military-connected children.
We understand the sacrifices made by military families and are honored to provide a supportive community and superior education. Military Interstate Children’s Compact Commission (MIC3)
The Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children is an agreement among member states, including Texas, to standardize educational requirements for military children. These children have the right to maintain their current grade level, including kindergarten, regardless of age, when transferring between member states. Additionally, a military child who has successfully completed the prerequisite grade level (including pre-K) in another member state is entitled to enroll in the next highest grade level in your district, regardless of age.

Red, White, and Blue PASS (Athletic Events)
Dear First Responder and Active Military Personnel,
For all that you do, we believe that you deserve to be recognized more than just one night at a ballgame. Please join us for a year of appreciation by signing up for your Burleson ISD Red, White, and Blue Pass.
The Burleson ISD Red, White, and Blue Pass will be valid for yourself and two guests to attend any Burleson ISD Athletic HOME game in the 2024-25 school year.
To sign up, please send a copy of your current department or military ID to Athletics@bisdmail.net. We just need your name and email so feel free to block out any other identifying information on your ID.
