• Enrollment Information for 2020-21 School Year (Students new to BISD)

    To Enroll: Visit ENROLL.BURLESONISD.NET to complete the online forms for your child(ren). Once you fill out the forms, the campus will contact you to complete the enrollment process virtually. 

    Required Documentation

    The following documents will be required to complete your registration:

    • Proof of residency (Hover and click "Proof of residency" for detailed documentation.)
    • Current immunization records
    • Picture ID of parent/guardian enrolling student
    • Child’s birth certificate  (or other proof of identity and age) *
    • Child’s social security card (voluntary)
    • Records from previous school
    • High School – Unofficial transcript (preferred) or final report card from previous school
    • Elementary and Middle School – final report card from previous school 

    To register for Kindergarten, students must be 5 years of age on or before September 1st.

    Note: If your student is transferring from a Texas Public or Private School, the district may be able to obtain the records from your student’s previous school. However, it is ultimately the parent’s responsibility to ensure that the district has all legally required documentation. This does not include Proof of Residency Documentation.

      • Students should bring to school cash, check, or a lunch from home.
      • Families can apply for Free & Reduced Applications meal benefits online at https://burlesonisd.rocketscanapps.com/. Benefits carry over from the previous school year for the first 30 days of the new school year, but do not transfer from other school districts.
      • Menus can be found online at http://burlesonisd.nutrislice.com/.
    • Medication
      • In order for BISD personnel to administer parent provided medications to a student, the following are required:
        • completed medication form with a physician’s signature and a parent/guardian signature for both prescription and over-the-counter medications.
        • medication must be brought in by a parent. Parents must provide any special supplies necessary to administer medication.
        • all medication must be in the original container. Prescription medication must be properly labeled by the pharmacy.
        • medications provided for asthma, diabetes and anaphylaxis require an Emergency Action Plan specific for that health condition.
      • Whenever possible please give medication at home.
      • The first dose must be given at home in case of an unexpected allergic reaction.

    • Transportation
      • To receive transportation you must be enrolled in a qualifying program or live more than 2 miles from your school.
      • Up to 5 school days may elapse from receipt of request by GoldStar Transportation Services before your child(ren) may ride the bus.

    *Parents can go directly to Texas.gov and order a certified birth certificate for $22, the same price as a walk-in or mail order. This easy-to-use online service is offered in English and Spanish and provides parents with a straightforward, secure option for ordering their child’s birth certificate. The orders are fulfilled by the Texas Department of State
