About our namesake:

Our school is named after Judy Hajek. Judy attended Burleson schools from 1st grade through 12th grade, graduating from Burleson High School as salutatorian. After graduating from Texas Christian University, she began her exceptional career as a Burleson High School math teacher. In her career, Mrs. Hajek served many roles including guidance counselor, assistant principal, principal, director of secondary education, executive director of curriculum and instruction, and assistant superintendent for BISD. In 2004, after 39 years of dedication, Judy Hajek retired. We are proud to have our school named after such an outstanding educator.

Mrs. Hajek’s advice to BISD students: “Take advantage of the opportunity to learn. We have a really good system here and a lot of teachers who care.”
