About the Academy of the Arts at Bransom

School and Community

  • About Us

Our school is named after Richard Bransom. Mr. Bransom was a pillar of the Burleson community and a long time resident who owned Bransom’s Grocery Store prior to his death in 2001. Mr. Bransom was known for his care of others, and his support of BISD schools and students, especially those that participated in the job training/work programs. His wife, Cindy, was a reading specialist for BISD at Taylor Elementary until her retirement in 2004.

There is much to discover at Bransom Elementary School. Whereas we are a choice school with a focus on the arts, the building design and architecture, that is so noticeably different from what most people have ever seen, allows the campus to focus on experiences with nature and science. Certainly the school grounds easily lend themselves to outside experiences, gardens, nature walks, exploration, and an appreciation for nature which allows our students to focus on the arts and the natural beauty surrounding them.

We invite you to watch the short video linked below to see what makes The Academy of the Arts at Bransom a special place to be.
