BISD High Schools of Choice - Apply Nov 13-30

Burleson ISD offers opportunities for students to create custom learning experiences at every level. 

A choice school offers students the opportunity to explore a specific pathway while still learning the required state curriculum. Students interested in attending choice schools must apply and follow application guidelines specific to the school of choice. 

2024-2025 Choice School Application Dates
All lottery applications are accessible through SchoolMint: BURLESONISD.SCHOOLMINT.NET.

High Schools of Choice
Apply November 13 at 8 a.m. - November 30 at 4 p.m. 

  • Burleson Collegiate High School: Parent Information Night is November 28, 2023, from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. at BCHS (517 SW Johnson).
  • Game Development Design School 

Middle Schools of Choice
Applications open January 22 at 8 a.m. - January 26 at 4 p.m.

  • Game Development Design School: Parent information night on January 16, 2024, from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. at GDDS (510 SW Wilshire Blvd.)
  • STEAM Middle School: Taste of STEAM on January 24, 2024, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at STEAM (900 SW Hillside).

Elementary Schools of Choice
Applications open January 22 at 8 a.m. - January 26 at 4 p.m. 

  • Academy at Nola Dunn
  • Academy of the Arts at Bransom
  • Academy of Leadership and Technology at Mound
  • Norwood Environmental Science Academy
  • STEAM Academy at Stribling
