Last night, the board of trustees lowered the tax rate for the fifth straight year. This time by 18.5 cents. It is the lowest tax rate since 1992.
Some members of our community may see an increase in their overall tax bill due to elevated property values. BISD does not set the appraised value of real property. We encourage everyone to reach out to their county’s appraisal district with concerns about their property bill.
