Virtual Event Showcases Education Choices Available to Burleson ISD Students 

Burleson ISD invites parents and students to virtually learn about the choices, career pathways, and other campus opportunities available to students during its annual BISD Showcase, February 1-5.

New this year: BISD announces a new school of choice: the Norwood Environmental Science Academy (NESA).

This year's BISD Showcase is virtual, and every BISD school will share information on the education opportunities available to students.

About Choice Schools 

A choice school offers students the opportunity to explore a specific pathway while still learning the required state curriculum. Students interested in attending choice schools must apply and follow application guidelines specific to the school of choice. 

2021-2022 Choice School Application Dates

High School applications open from 8 a.m. Monday, November 30, 2020, through 4 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2021.

  • Burleson Collegiate High School
  • REALM Secondary School

Middle school applications open at 8 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2021, through 4 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2021.

  • STEAM Middle School
  • REALM Secondary School

Elementary school applications open at 8 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2021, through 4 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2021.

  • Academy at Nola Dunn
  • Academy of the Arts at Bransom
  • Academy of Leadership and Technology at Mound
  • Norwood Environmental Science Academy
  • STEAM Academy at Stribling

About Programs of Choice 

Programs of choice offer students the opportunity to participate in a specific program while still attending their home campus. Students interested in participating in a choice program may visit with their campus counselor to request additional information.
