BISD Names Tricia Lyday Principal of Hughes Middle School
April 12, 2021 – The Burleson Independent School District (BISD) introduced Tricia Lyday as the Hughes Middle School (HMS) Principal at the April 12 board meeting.
Principal Lyday has spent seven of her 18 years in education with BISD, most recently serving as the Frazier Elementary Principal. She is the former Hughes Middle School Academic Assistant Principal and also served as the testing coordinator at STEAM Middle School. Lyday began her career as a teacher and holds a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Texas A&M University and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at Arlington.
“Mrs. Lyday is an exceptional and proven school leader in our district whose passion for improving the education experience is apparent in all that she does,” said BISD Superintendent Dr. Bret Jimerson. “We believe she will continue her success as Principal of Hughes Middle School.”
“It's an incredible honor and blessing to return to the Husky family and serve as Hughes Middle School Principal,” said Lyday. “I look forward to meeting Hughes Middle School students, parents and staff and working to support staff in the quest for excellence in learning for all students."
