September 26: BISD College Fair Helps Students Prepare for College

The BISD College Fair is Monday, September 26. College and university representatives from across the state will be available to speak with high school students and their families about programs, education opportunities, college admission, financial aid, and more. Students and families can also get help setting up their Federal Student Aid ID (necessary for the  Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application) and SAT/ACT registration. 

WHEN: Monday, September 26 from 7:00 - 8:30  p.m. 

WHERE: Burleson High School, 100 Elk Dr.  (Enter main or student parking lots from ​Elk Dr.) Please enter through the main entrance.

REGISTER: 

1. Expedite visitor check-in by completing the pre-registration form (by September 25) to be screened through the Raptor system: click here to pre-register. 

         Guests who pre-register must show their IDs to pick up their pre-registration pass at the BHS main entrance.

         Guests who do not pre-register may experience longer wait times as their information must be scanned into our system at the event. 

         Please note: All guests must bring a valid driver’s license or Texas identification card to enter the building. 

2. Complete TACRAO registration now for contactless profile sharing with colleges and universities at the BISD College Fair. Select the Burleson fair when registering. 

 

FAFSA Assistance

All seniors are required to complete the FAFSA or TASFA. Staff will provide assistance in both English and Spanish to help students and families complete the preliminary registration (FSA ID). FAFSA applications open October 1.
