BISD Names Joanne Campbell as Principal of Frazier Elementary
July 24, 2023
Burleson Independent School District (BISD) announces Joanne Campbell as the Principal of Frazier Elementary. With 16 years of educational experience, including a decade of success in BISD, Campbell brings valuable expertise as an administrator and a passion for student achievement to her new role.
Most recently serving as the Assistant Principal at the Academy at Nola Dunn, Campbell's journey in education began as an elementary school teacher. Joining BISD as a teacher, Campbell's dedication to student progress and growth led her to excel as the Intervention Specialist before assuming her current role as a campus administrator. As the Assistant Principal, Campbell actively contributed to the professional learning community, provided coaching support to teachers, and promoted a culture of growth and collaboration throughout the school. One of Campbell’s key strengths lies in her ability to form meaningful connections with students and staff, which played a pivotal role in her success as an administrator. Campbell’s expertise and accomplishments earned her the honor of presenting at the TCU Summer Literacy Institute for three consecutive years, inspiring educators to enhance their instructional practices for the betterment of students. Campbell holds a bachelor’s degree from Husson University and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at Arlington.
"Mrs. Campbell has an impeccable record in BISD as a teacher, interventionist, and administrator,” said BISD Superintendent Dr. Bret Jimerson. “We are excited for Mrs. Campbell to join our leadership team, and we envision her leading Frazier Elementary for many years to come.”
“I am honored and delighted to be named Frazier Elementary Principal,” Campbell said. “I'm excited to join the Frazier Bear community and build upon the legacy of excellence while upholding the traditions Frazier students, parents, and families have established.”
Parents, students, and staff will receive information on a meet-and-greet event at the campus soon.
