Coming Fall 2026: Expanded Dual Credit Options at BHS & CHS

Coming Fall 2026: Expanded Dual Credit Options at BHS & CHS

At the March board meeting, trustees approved two new programs through our partnership with Hill College, starting with our current 8th graders and expanding each year moving forward.

Structured Dual Credit: Students can earn up to 45 college credit hours by graduation and be designated “core complete,” recognized by all Texas public universities. That means a head start on a bachelor’s degree by completing "the basics" and real savings for families.

Accelerated Biomedical Careers (ABC) Initiative: In partnership with Hill College and UNT Health Fort Worth, students can earn an Associate of Science degree in high school and move directly into UNT Health Fort Worth’s online Biomedical Sciences bachelor’s program. This pathway helps fast-track future doctors, pharmacists, physical therapists, optometrists, and dentists by shaving at least a year off their journey.

These opportunities bring affordable, supported college pathways directly to our campuses and open doors for our students’ futures.
