504 Information

Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, is a federal civil rights statute which protects the rights of persons with disabilities. This law guarantees a child with a disability should have the same education opportunities as all other children. All public schools, school districts, public charter schools and magnet schools that receive federal financial assistance must comply with Section 504.
