BFF is a unified track and field event for students ages 5-22 who are served by Special Education in Burleson ISD and other districts invited to participate. Participants are primarily those students who are not able to successfully participate in their home campus’s field day. Alongside the special athletes are their non-disabled peers, building self-confidence, acceptance, and friendships among all participants. Modified activities allow athletes the opportunity to participate in traditional track and field events as well as recreational activities.
