BISD Spectator Code of Conduct

Burleson ISD Spectator Policy

All Administrators for UIL-sanctioned sports within the Burleson ISD as well as

District/Non-District ISD’s will be following the “UIL Behavior Expectations of Spectators” as set forth in the guidelines of the UIL and can be found on page 13 of the Burleson ISD Parent/Student-Athlete Handbook . This includes administrator designees as assigned by Burleson ISD administrators or by UIL member institutions. Your support for Burleson ISD is appreciated.

 

1st Offense: Warning

Any spectator deemed to be behaving inappropriately will be asked to stop or correct this behavior or will immediately be asked to leave under the second offense policy.

 

2nd Offense: Removal from Burleson ISD facility

Any spectator having committed a second offense or an action deemed severe enough will be subject to immediate removal. After such removal, the offender will be required to meet with Burleson ISD Administration before returning to any Burleson ISD event. This includes ejections initiated by game officials.

3rd Offense: 30 Day Suspension

Any spectator committing a third offense will be subject to suspension for 30 calendar days from all events held at Burleson ISD. This may carry over into the next school year, if the suspension takes place within the 30 days of the end of school. During this period a meeting with Burleson ISD Administration will be required before a return to any Burleson ISD event will be allowed. This includes ejections initiated by game officials.

4th Offense: Calendar Year Suspension

Any spectator committing a fourth offense will be subject to suspension for a full calendar year. During this period a meeting with Burleson ISD Administration will be required before a return to any Burleson ISD event will be allowed. This includes ejections initiated by game officials.

***Any incident involving threats, physical altercations, or deemed “severe” by Burleson ISD administrators could result in permanent suspension to any Burleson ISD event. For further clarification, please read the “Behavior Expectations of Spectators” as well as the “Parent/ Coach Relationship” from the UIL Parent Manual.

BISD Bag Policy

BISD Clear Bag Policy

Fans are encouraged to limit the number of items they bring with them to BISD venues, such as the BISD Stadium and district arenas, gymnasiums, and auditoriums. They will be able to carry (1) one of the following styles and size bags at athletic, facility gates, or when approaching lines awaiting entry into the facility: 

Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and do not exceed 12x 6x 12” 

One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar) 

Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand but not larger than 8.5x 4.5,with or without a handle or strap 

An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection

● Diaper bags are allowed as long as they are accompanied by an infant 

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, computer bags, camera bags, or any bag larger than the permissible size. 

Prohibited Items
In conjunction with the UIL and for the safety of our guests and employees, the following are prohibited: 

Abusive, foul, or disruptive language or clothing 

Alcohol 

Animals (except service dogs to aid guests with disabilities) 

Balls (including but not limited to football, soccer, and lacrosse) 

Bottles, cans, and beverage containers of any kind* 

Clear bags larger than 12”x 6”x 12” and all non-clear bags larger than 8.5” x 4.5,” including purses, binoculars, and camera cases 

Coolers** 

Drones and any other unmanned remote-controlled aircraft systems 

E-cigarettes and vaporizers 

Fighting, taunting, or threatening remarks or gestures 

Fireworks, firearms, and weapons of any kind 

Intoxication or other signs of impairment related to alcohol consumption or other drug use

● Laser pointers 

Strollers and wagons 

Trespassing, soliciting, peddling, and loitering 

Video cameras 

Any other item or action deemed dangerous or inappropriate 


**Exceptions will be made for those with medical requirements and/or special needs.
All persons and/or their belongings are subject to search as a condition of entry into any BISD Venue*.  

Venue is defined as BISD Multi-Purpose Stadium and district arenas, gymnasiums, football fields, baseball and softball stadiums, and auditoriums.

Burleson ISD Stadium Rules

1. No outside food and drinks allowed. This includes water.
2. There will be no in and out privileges, re-entry requires purchase of a new ticket.
3. BISD's Clear Bag Policy will be in effect.
4. Only personnel with sideline passes can be on the field ~ spectators are not allowed on the field before or after the games.
5. Ticket sales are online only. No in-person ticket sales at this time. Everyone aged 3 and older needs a ticket for entrance.
6. There is no crossover from home side to visitor side or visa-versa. This includes band parents from visiting teams that want to crossover to the home side to film half-time performance.
7. Spectators are not allowed to have air horns or whistles. All other noise makers are subject to district rules.
8. No tobacco or alcohol products. This includes electronic cigarettes and vapor products.
9. Spectators must adhere to UIL and BISD expectations. Failure to do so could result in removal from the stadium.
10. No confetti or powder allowed on the playing surface and stands.
11. Elementary and middle school students must be accompanied by their parent.
12. Only animals allowed are registered service animals.
