Do You Provide School-Age Care?
No, each BISD Elementary campus has an After School Program to provide care for the school-age child.

If I Choose to do Payroll Deduction, Is This Taken Out Before or After Taxes?
The deduction is taken out after taxes.

What Meals Do You Provide?
We provide a breakfast-type morning snack and an afternoon snack. Parents may either bring their child’s lunch or order a lunch through the BISD Food Service. We pick up our meals at the STEAM cafeteria.

How Much are the Purchased Lunches?
$2.25 for the Mini Meal

What is the Mini Meal?
A smaller portion of the student lunch aimed for the smaller appetite of our younger children.

What Type of Curriculum Do You Follow?
We use the Frog Street Press Curriculum for ALL ages, from Infants through Pre-K.

Do You Conduct Field Trips?
No, instead we invite a variety of Community Helpers to come and visit our facility to talk to our children.

Is the Staff Experienced?
We try to hire only employees with a minimum of 2 years experience in Licensed Child Care.

Is the Daycare Staff Screened for Criminal Convictions?
Yes, all daycare employees (including subs) are required to have 2 background checks. One background check is through HR and the other is through Daycare Licensing. Not only are they checked for normal FBI background investigations but the Licensing checks for any reports from previous daycares of any reported misconduct.
