Give Voice to What Matters
As graduation day approaches, What Kids Can Do (WKCD) invites students to raise their voice and let others know what matters most to them in this moment and in the years ahead. This year’s theme is Crisis and Hope in These Trying Times. Each of the five best speechwriters will receive a $100 gift certificate from Amazon.com, and their speeches will appear on the WKCD Web site. Any student between the ages of 12 and 19, writing in English, is eligible for the award. (Students don’t have to be an actual graduation speaker to submit their speech.)
Deadline: May 18, 2009
