Schlecty says that students should be authentically engaged in learning something that is valued by society. According to many, our students do not know enough about the geography of the world. Using GPS in education is engaging and students learn about mapping and geography along with problem solving skills. This week, BISD teachers will learn how to engage students in real world, authentic learning with GPS receivers.
