Calling All Cougars...........

If you are a 7th or 8th grade student that will be attending Kerr Middle School then "Calling All Cougars" is for you. This a come and go event on Saturday, Aug. 25 from 1:30 - 3:30p.m. All students will pick up their schedules in the PIT during that time. You will also be able to find your classrooms, meet your teachers and even buy some standardized dress appropriate spirit wear. We look forward to seeing you there.

P.O.R. Hours beginning Aug. 6 - 8 are 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Aug. 9 our extended hours are 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
Aug. 10 hours will be 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

P.O.R. Hours beginning Aug. 13 are 7:45 am - 4:30 pm

Our offices will be closed on Monday, Aug. 20 in order to host Cougar Camp and Calling All Cougars on Sat., Aug. 25. Office hours for Tues., Aug. 21 are 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
Office hours for Wed., Aug. 22 -24 are 7:45 am - 4:30 pm.

2012-2013 Athletic Physicals

Athletic physicals for the 2012 - 2013 school year are to be held at Centennial High School on April 28th. Any incoming 7th-12th grade student in BISD is welcome to attend. The boys will be from 8:30 - 12:00 and the girls from 1:00 - 3:00. The cost is $15 CASH and we will also provide notaries free of charge to get the athletic physical notarized, but parents will need to be present and have a vaild picture ID. HIGH SCHOOL BOUNDARIES CHANGE IN 2012-13

Beginning with the 2012-13 school year, all Kerr Middle School students will be zoned to attend Centennial High School. That means our current group of 8th graders will be the first class affected by the change.This change in boundaries for high school age students was approved at the May 9, 2011 meeting of the Board of Trustees of BISD after several months of discussion and public forum meetings seeking citizen and parent input. Kerr Cougar students and staff are excited about the zone change that will keep neighborhood children together throughout their middle and high school years. This change in attendance zones will also allow athletic teams, choir, band, and other student groups formed in middle school to remain together for the high school experience. A map of the high school zone change is posted on the BISD website.
