News You Can Use!
The Stribling Elementary School PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) is a nonprofit parent teacher organization. The PTO maintains a close working relationship between parents, teachers/staff, and students. It is our goal to enhance our students' educational experience by:
- supporting academic achievement
- enriching social and community awareness
- providing assistance to teachers in classroom settings
- holding fund-raisers for supplemental educational materials and experiences
- supporting school and family social interaction
- providing a non-biased forum for sharing information on issues that impact our children.
It is our belief that the team effort of a parent teacher organization offers the best possible learning environment for our children.

Have you ever wondered what your $5 PTO Membership fee supports?
This fee, combined with funds earned through PTO fundraisers does a lot for our students at Stribling Elementary. In the past few years, Stribling PTO has:
purchased materials including megaphone used during recess, portable cd/cassette players for Kindegarten, star card prizes, snacks for STAAR testing days, and Veteran's Day program supplies
provided for special programs for the students, such as the African drumming program
held thank you meals for the teachers, letting them know how much we appreciate them
helped offset field trip transportation costs
helped offset holiday and end of the year party costs for parents
Items purchased in October 2012 were: ScienceSaurus books for third grade, 2 classroom sets of CPS Spark Clickers, and 60 headphones for the computer labs
