Interested in Signing Up to Volunteer? Background Check is Required!

Thursday, October 18, 2012

Parents, if you are interested in volunteering in the classroom, going on a field trip, working with student who need your help, or being a super special WatchDOG, you must complete a background check.  It only cost $2.00 but it may take a couple of weeks to get the results.  If you haven't already completed the form or you just can't find the one we sent home, it is your lucky day.
Click below for an English or Spanish version of the form, print a copy, complete both pages of the form and then send it to school with your child along with $2.00.  We'll take it from there. Don't get caught without proper documentation when the time comes to volunteer at Bransom.

We need your support all year long.  Thanks so much!

Dads, Grandpas, and Uncles, we need you to be a part of the WatchDOGS program. Contact Randy Denby @ bransomwatchdog@sbcglobal.net or Valerie Martin @ vmartin@burlesonisd.net for details and sign up information.  See the sidebar for more information about our WatchDOGS program.

Get the Facts about Arrival and Dismissal at Bransom

Tuesday, August 28, 2012

One goal Bransom has is to be safe and efficient even during arrival and dismissal everyday.  Please read the documents below to better understand the adopted procedures for morning arrival and afternoon dismissal.

For Arrival Procedures - Click HERE

For Dismissal Procedures - Click HERE

If you are unable to pick up your child on time, arrangements need to be made for an alternate pick up.  The faculty and staff are not available after school for student supervision unless prior arrangements are made.  The After School Program is available but your child must be registered to participate.

Rainy Day Dismissal for Walkers
For students who walk home each day from school, it is important to know that when it is raining, walkers will remain at the campus until "car pick up" is complete.  This will give all parents and guardians an opportunity to pick up their students.  Once the vehicles are gone, the remaining walkers will be escorted to the school crosswalk in order for those students to walk home as usual.

Morning Assembly

Information Just for You...

All Bransom Bobcats are currently zoned to attend Kerr Middle School when they enter the 6th grade.  Beginning with the 2012-2013 school year, all Kerr Middle School students will be zoned to attend Centennial High School. This change in boundaries for high school age students was approved at the May 9, 2011 meeting of the Board of Trustees of BISD after several months of discussion and public forum meetings seeking citizen and parent input.  Bransom Bobcats are excited about the zone change that wll keep neighborhood children together thoughout their middle and high school years.  A map of the high school zone change is posted on the BISD website.
