Superintendent

Crummel has spent 38 years in education, 31 of which are at BISD and the other seven at Fort Worth ISD.  During his tenure at BISD, Crummel has been Burleson High School Band Director, BISD Director of Instrumental and Choral Music, BHS Assistant Principal, BHS Principal, Executive Director of Learning Supports and Public Relations, Chief Administrative Officer and Interim Superintendent.

While Principal at BHS, the campus earned Exemplary and Recognized ratings from the Texas Education Agency.

In 1996 Crummel was named a state finalist for the Association of Texas Professional Educators Administrator of the Year Award.

Crummel earned a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from North Texas State University and Masters in Music Ed. from East Texas State University.  Crummel earned his Mid-Management and Superintendent Certification from Tarleton State University.
