Recovery

School officials work closely with community and government stakeholders to help affected school buildings recover and return to a sense of normalcy as quickly as possible.

Recovery activities include:

• Assess damage

• Debrief

• Repair infrastructure

• Provide Crisis/Trauma Counseling

• Train staff to recognize signs of troubled youth or peers

• Relocate/restructure school operations if necessary

• Assess overall emergency system and make modifications if necessary
