Requirements and process for Proof of Residency documentation have changed for the upcoming 2009/2010 school year. Follow the link to the letter that will accompany your student's report card.  Please note the changes in documentation required, stipulations regarding documentation (specifically regarding driver's license), and the August deadline for submission.  Applications and affidavits will be available on-line or at the district administrative offices, 1160 S.W. Wilshire, on July 12, 2009. If you have children at multiple campuses, you need only provide documentation to one campus. Failure to supply required documentation will delay the enrollment/registration of your student.

After careful consideration, The Board of Trustees of the Burleson Independent School District have decided to maintain the present school start times for all schools during the 2009-10 school year.  Prior to this announcement the district had posted information on the website and in district newsletters regarding new proposed start times for 2009-10.  That schedule will not be implemented and instead all schools will continue to operate with our current established times as listed below;

Elementary     8:00 - 3:10
Middle School    8:15 - 3:45
High School    8:30 - 4:00
 *note the high school schedule has been altered slightly to assist students and parents with traffic flow

Summer School information for Burleson High School is now available.  Students interested in recovering credits or getting ahead during the summer can download the information below for detailed instructions on how to register.  Please note that Burleson High School has changed the format for summer school. In order to reduce costs and provide more opportunities for students, so be sure to read the information carefully!"

You may now use the online payment link to the left to make online payment for summer school.  Please note your registration form must be approved by BHS Summer School staff before you will be allowed to access the online payment system.

All activities will be held at the High School with the exception of Elementary Summer School.  That location will be determined at a later date. 

All activities at the High School will end by 1:00 PM on a daily basis.  This schedule will run Monday through Friday. 

All campuses, except for Admin areas, will be closed from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Those words best define BISD efforts to give voters what they promised. From the original approved bond package of $259 million, BISD officials have sold bonds totaling $169 million in order to successfully complete a number of projects promised to our citizens during the November, 2006 election.
