City, BISD, and Tarrant County Public Health team up to host free H1N1 vaccination clinic
The City of Burleson's emergency management division, the Burleson Independent School District and Tarrant County Public Health will team up to provide free H1N1 vaccinations to the public on Tuesday, February 23, 4-7 p.m., at Hughes Middle School.
The vaccinations will be administered on a first-come, first serve basis. The shots are available to everyone, including the elderly, who did not have access to the vaccine when it was first released. Children must be accompanied by a parent and must be at least 6 months old to receive the vaccine. TCPH officials will have both nasal vaccines and vaccine injections. You are not required to bring any medical records to the vaccination clinic, but will be asked to fill out forms supplied TCPH.
You do not have to be a Burleson resident to take part in the vaccination clinic. TCPH will supply the free vaccines, BISD will provide the location and the City will provide police officers for crowd control and fire fighters to help watch and assess patients after the vaccinations are administered.

BISD Background Check Form
Deadline nears to show proof of residency
Requirements and process for Proof of Residency documentation have changed for the upcoming 2009/2010 school year. Please note the changes in the required documentation, stipulations regarding documentation (specifically regarding driver's license), and the August deadline for submission. If you have children at multiple campuses, you need only provide documentation to one campus. Failure to supply required documentation will delay the enrollment/registration of your student.
Note to Parents of Children at Lil' Elks
To the parents who pick up at the Lil’ Elks daycare located next to Kerr Middle School,
Please follow the entrances and exits at the First Christian Church (site 2 location) as requested by the church and the City of Burleson. Note that the driveway closest to FasTaco is an ENTER only. Do not exit from this drive.
The drive way to the east, closest to the dumpsters, is an entrance and exit. The city has told the church if the entrance only drive is used as an exit, they will force the church to close that entrance way.
"Please be kind and obey the signs!"
Any questions, please call Jayne Jones at 817-447-5954.
