These are commonly asked questions about the band program at Centennial High School.

Can I be in the Spartan Regiment and Athletics? YES! Several students participate in Band & Athletics.  The only scheduling conflicts are with morning marching rehearsals and 1st Period Wind Ensemble and Boys Athletics. The Boys Athletics Coaches and Band Directors will make arrangements to allow anyone who wishes to participate in both the ability to do so.

I am registered for a concert band. Am I expected to march? Yes. All band members are part of the Spartan Regiment Marching Band.

Is marching difficult? Marching is no more difficult than many other activities. Many discover marching can be quite fun!

Are there fees to participate in band? Yes. Unfortunately, the school cannot cover all expenses with regard to the band program. You will be assessed fees mostly for items you will keep, i.e. T-Shirts, Shoes, etc., as well as services such as uniform cleaning. Fundraising opportunities are available to assist you with your financial obligations.

Does the CHS Band take Spring Trips? Yes. We will be taking Spring Tours on alternating years with the BHS Band.  Our trip years are the Odd-Even School years, for example 2011-2012, so we will go on a trip in the Spring of 2012.
