BURLESON, Texas – (Dec. 11, 2017) – The Burleson Independent School District (BISD) announces Chris Chappotin as Principal of STEAM Middle School. Chappotin was announced at the December 11 board meeting.
Chappotin has nearly eight years of education experience with BISD, all of which he’s served in the district. Chappotin holds a bachelor’s degree from Abilene Christian University and a masters in educational leadership and policy studies from University of Texas at Arlington.
“Mr. Chappotin played an integral role in opening STEAM Middle School and helping to make it the success that it is today,” said BISD Superintendent Dr. Bret Jimerson. “We have no doubt that he will continue on with the success that STEAM Middle School has enjoyed.”
“I educate to make a difference in learners and the community, and I am honored and excited to do so as STEAM Middle School Principal,” said Chappotin. “Alongside the school’s talented staff, supportive parents, and hard-working students, I look forward to leading STEAM into future innovation and engaging learning experiences for all students.”
STEAM Middle School will host a “Meet and Greet” for Chappotin on Tuesday, December 12, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Parents, students, and community members are invited to join in welcoming him back to the campus.
