BURLESON, Texas (Jan. 15, 2018) – Burleson Independent School District (BISD) invites parents and students to attend BISD Choice Night on Feb. 15. Principals, teachers and students from choice schools and programs, in addition to traditional high school career pathways and electives, will share information with parents and students on the education opportunities available to students in the district.
BISD Choice Night is Thursday, Feb. 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Centennial High School, located at 201 S. Hurst Rd.
A choice school offers students an opportunity to explore a specific pathway while still learning the required state curriculum. BISD currently offers: four elementary schools of choice, one choice middle school, one choice middle school program, one choice high school, and numerous career pathways and programs for traditional high school students.
Students interested in attending choice schools or programs must apply and follow application guidelines specific to the school of choice.
Elementary schools of choice applications are available March 2 – 9, 2018.
Applications for middle schools of choice are available Feb. 19 – 26, 2018.
Application for Burleson Collegiate High School is open now through Feb. 26, 2018.

The selected neighborhood elementary schools will continue to serve the students in their attendance zones as their neighborhood school.
