Burleson ISD Bond Update: October 22, 2018 Meeting

At the October 22 school board meeting, Burleson ISD Construction Manager Cliff Holden provided an overview of the district’s four concurrent projects.


Hughes Middle School

Phase II Progress:

Collaborative areas and classrooms are 65% complete.

Floor preparation is in progress.

Environmental Compliance is 98% complete.

Electrical is 70% complete.

Plumbing is 95% complete.

Utilities are 75% complete.

Structural Steel is in progress.


BHS Multipurpose Facility

BISD celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony in early October.

Site work and utilities are in progress.

Steel structure is on order and concrete work is under contract.

Material storage lay-down area is 80% complete and security fencing is 95% complete.


BHS Collaboration Space

Demolition is 98% complete.

Painting/texture and floor preparation are 95% complete.

Exterior windows are 80% complete.

Electrical is 85% complete.

Plumbing is 98% complete.

Fire sprinklers are nearly complete at 98%.

Ceiling/Grid is 90% complete.

Data/Communication is 10% complete.

Window Walls at C/R’s are 30% complete.

Millwork is 30% complete.

Construction is on schedule to be complete by end of October.


Kerr Middle School at Hidden Creek

Site work and utilities are 90% complete.

Paving is 90% complete.

Building concrete is 80% complete.

ICF walls are 70% complete.

Framing Interior Area A is 50% complete and framing Interior Area C is 40% complete.

Electrical, mechanical and plumbing in Areas A and C is 40% complete.

CMU Kitchen/Locker Rooms are 75% complete.

Roofing in Area A is set to begin late October.
