BURLESON, Texas – (Sept. 6, 2017) – The Burleson Independent School District (BISD) is named one of the 2018 Best School Districts in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, according to Niche Ratings.
With an overall Niche grade of A, BISD ranks 22 out of 60 area districts, and 75 out of 985 in the State.
“We are honored and proud to be named one of the best school districts in the Dallas-Fort Worth area,” said Dr. Bret Jimerson, BISD Superintendent. “It is an exciting time to be in Burleson, and to have Burleson ISD recognized as one of the best school districts is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our staff, the commitment and support from our school board, and the involvement of a community that supports its school district and students.”
The 2018 Best School Districts ranking is based on rigorous analysis of key statistics and millions of reviews from students and parents using data from the U.S. Department of Education. Ranking factors include state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, SAT/ACT scores, teacher quality, public school district ratings, and more.
With an overall Niche grade of “A,” BISD earned an A in academics, teachers, health and safety, clubs and activities, administration, diversity, sports, resources and facilities, and food categories.
“We are very proud of the work we do in Burleson ISD,” added Jimerson. “Our educators challenge students, and realize and embrace the fact that one size does not fit all. As a district, we make great strides to improve the education experience and increase the education choices and opportunities available to all students.”
