Our school is named after Richard Bransom.
Mr. Bransom owned Bransom's Grocery Store prior to his death in
2001. He cared about others, and he greatly supported BISD students that
participated in the job training/work programs. His wife, Cindy, retired in
2004, and she had been a reading specialist at Taylor Elementary. There is
much to Discover at Bransom Elementary School. The building design and
architecture, that is so noticeably different from what most people have ever
seen, allows the campus to focus on experiences with nature and science.
Certainly the school grounds easily lend themselves to outside experiences,
gardens, nature walks, exploration, appreciation for nature, conservation, etc.
Our staff worked to create our vision mission and committment statements this past summer.
